BRANET was born in Barcelona in 2024, stemming from a long-held desire: to create timeless design pieces that last, that appreciate over time, and that respect the work of those who make them possible. My name is Susanna Gallart, and with this idea as my starting point, I began to build the brand.
For a year and a half, I worked on shaping BRANET. I traveled throughout Spain, visiting workshops and suppliers, searching for those who shared the same dedication, pace, and precision in their work. This led me to a family workshop with decades of experience, where tradition and modernity coexist naturally. There, I understood that a handbag is defined by the time, attention, and precision of those who create it.
At BRANET, we work with carefully selected natural leathers from Italy, alongside experts who have known this material for generations. Each leather is unique: its markings, nuances, and variations are part of its character. This singularity means that no two BRANET bags are alike.
Each piece is handmade, one by one, and in very limited quantities. The process is meticulous: inspecting the leather, cutting, hand-painting the edges, sewing and joining each piece, letting it rest… until everything fits together with the desired proportions. It is a job that requires time and skill.
This meticulousness coexists with what inspires me: architecture, photography, travel, and light. From this arises a design approach centered on silhouettes, the intention behind each line, and a natural balance between presence and discretion.
BRANET champions a particular way of doing things: natural materials, process, and intention. We want to ensure the continuity of the craft that makes it all possible. Each bag is made to last.
